Single-ended open-jaw spanners-

Single-ended open-jaw spanners have one open end where the nut and bolt head is gripped to tighten it.

Double-ended spanners-

Spanners are made open at both ends and grips opposite faces of nuts and bolt. The ends are at an angle of 15 degrees to the axis and have a greater range of movement.

Ring Spanners-

Making a ring at both ends, nuts and bolts are tightened or loosened by this spanner. The projected teeth hold 6 sided nuts and bolts forming an easy grip. Rings panels do not have bent ends.

Socket spanner-

Socket spanners have a square hole at one end. The other end is like a ring spanner cutting out the nut and bolt. The Tommy bar is square. Adjustable Spanner-
The adjustable spanner is also known as a screw wrench. The jaws can be expanded and narrowed down depending on the size of the nut and bolt to tighten and loosen. They are used on those nuts and bolts where others spanners fail to adjust.

Socket spanners-
Socket spanners are similar to box spanners with the fixed hand on the top and a socket is built at the bottom. The sockets are of different sizes.

Magneto spanner-
Magneto spanner comes in a bunch of single spanners. They offer a variation in tightening and loosening the small nuts and bolts.

Allen key-
Allen key is a steel rod that has 6 faces bent at a 90-degree angle from one end and is used to open those nuts and bolts that have a round end. They are excellent at tightening jobs and available in different sizes and sets.

Spanner tools are used to tighten and dismantle nuts and bolts of specific sizes. Gripping mechanically while applying torque to turn nuts and bolts, these tools are indispensable for engineers and other technicians. Understanding each spanner and their function helps in the correct selection of spanners.
